Make Ready Program

Making electric charging systems
affordable for Georgia businesses

Georgia is already the sixth largest market in the nation for EV charging, and more drivers and companies are turning to electric transportation for lower ownership costs and cleaner energy choices. Georgia Power’s Make Ready Program prepares your business to meet the growing demands of EV charging.

The Make Ready Program is designed to remove the biggest financial hurdle of installing electric chargers at your location by installing, owning and maintaining the charging infrastructure behind your meter that serves the charger. By eliminating your upfront costs for infrastructure, you can focus on the charging system that works best for your business. We can also help you choose the right charging equipment that fits your needs.

Now is the perfect time to prepare
for the growing EV market

The future of electric transportation is growing rapidly as many automakers expand their electric vehicle models. Total cost of ownership for an EV is often less than a gasoline-powered vehicle, and consumers are buying more of these vehicles as the economical choice. Prepare your location for onsite charging systems and reap the benefits including:

  • Modernizing and preparing your business to support a growing market segment of fleet and passenger vehicles
  • Supporting the sustainability values of your customers, tenants and employees
  • Helping your company achieve its clean energy goals through decarbonization
  • Demonstrating community leadership and innovation
